how reasonable is it

as my search for a new bike continues ( i was going to say "reaches it's paroxism" but that would be exaggerating somewhat...) I am beginning to wonder if it's reasonable to expect to be able to sell my tralp. I obviously won't propose it on here, it being french registered and too far from you lot to be financially viable as a source of parts but it's 26 years old and has 140,000km (87000 miles) on the clock ( We have done just over 100,000 of those together).

there are 4 bikes identical to mine on "le bon coin" ( french selling stuff website) with between 55 and 80 000 km on them offered for between 900 and 1500Euros respectively.... which seems like a shed load of dosh to me, for a 26yr old tractor...

Hey, stuff gets down to a point (I reckon about £1000) and as long as it looks and runs ok, serviceable with a bit of life left, get much below that and they tend to be shitters, obviously depending on how desirable something is at the time.

Go for it and get what you can I say, anything newish and half fancy costs a bleeding fortune!

I think you're probably right, I'm in no rush to sell as what little I'll get ain't gonna make much difference anyway and below 1000E people will be put off cos it's admitting it's sh!t.

I'll let you know...

don't hold yer breath!

Hello Chris, stick it up for 1300 euros and let the punters knock you down, they'll be happy and so will you if wanted a 1000 for it.
I am trail riding in France at the moment but nowhere near you or I would have popped down the boatyard.
