There was also the NS750 which was a CX500 engine turned through 90 degrees and bored and stroked to 750.

Found some info here - but I'm sure I read about it in Classic Bike magazine but cannot find the article now.

yup seen this one it was pre the XLV motored one and did not do very well..

other interesting thing with these, only go left bikes, is that there is a long weired linkage to get the gear change lever on the right too..

so rear ( only ) brake and gear change are on the right, hot bits on the left, where you hang off.... Mental :cool2:

Funny how the opening lines of the commentator seem to present it as meaningful that this American race class is synonymous with and dominated by an American brand bike. ;)
