You're putting us all to shame again, Nick. Marvellous.

And the bike sounds fantastic.

Good stuff nick. Winter is having a last fling here: it's cold, wet with some snow and windy. You would probably say perfect biking weather ;)

A Perfect Ride: 189 miles. Damp, chilly, misty, wet roads; a bit like England really, except for the wolf.

Zero traffic. For virtually the whole time, I rode with nothing ahead and nothing behind - just the occasional vehicle in the other direction (I am not exaggerating).

And the bike! Endless soul, happy to plug along at little more than a tick-over, or belt it for home with gusto, all the while bellowing out a mellow soundtrack. First real ride of the year - and a really good one.

Lovely.

PS: Couldn't help noticing (it being bright red and all) but isn't that oil filter a bit vulnerable out there?

Only if I drop the bike

Nice one Nick

I too went out last Sunday in the Highlands -- Ullapool, Poolewe, Gairloch and back home.
Like you, barely a car on the road.

Was a naughty boy on the way back, a bit of excessive right hand. Well ,-- not a car in sight for miles, would be rude not to :D :D
