Some of you might have seen, in the Pennine Way aftermath photos, some idiot in a bright blue jacket. Well, that particular idiot is me and the jacket is a Trespass Kakabobo -

Brilliant jacket - you'll have to make your own mind up on the colour! I bought it last year, from TK Maxx, as a waterproof to wear over my HG Air jacket (which is vented and definitely NOT waterproof). Bit of a desperation move on my part, to be honest. But I've been very pleasantly surprised. Even though it is sized a medium, it fits over the Air Jacket no problem at all and, so far, has kept me dry even in some quite horrendous downpours. It dries really quickly too. It also comes with a detachable hood. Can be got from fleabay for around £30.

Couple of things to note -

1) The high neck really does cut the wind noise down - at least on my Arai helmet.

2) The pockets are not that waterproof - I won't be using that bus timetable again!

3) It packs really small and would probably fit inside the detachable hood.
