Hi all, any tips would be most welcome. I swapped my sat nav mount from the old to the new dero, only to find out that the sat nav does not recharge while mounted on the bike.....connections to the battery checked and seem to be ok.
Would it be the deck itself .....?
Grazie mille

I have Garmin Zumo mounts

I regularly spray electrical contact cleaner on the pins as they can fur up inside the mount where you can't see, push all the pins up and down a few times too to make them clean - not had any problems in 7 years

Have you checked for a voltage between the connectors on the mount and the frame? In addition to cleaning the mount's contacts, also clean the contacts on the sat nav itself.

The combination of Italy and Electronics have a questionable reputation!!

If it's a TomTom Rider1 it could be the mount. The springy pins on the cradle seize and wear away the edge connector on the back of the TomTom.

If it's a TomTom Rider2, the small power cable and connector pins that plug into the mount are a bit delicate.

Failing the above, it's probably all down to Tony Marconi, Italian electronic butcher!!
