Took a spin out on the fully laden NC on a “shake-down” camping trip to see if:-

A – I’d forgotten to pack something

B – I’d packed too much (as if )

C – Would the little bike manage to carry me & my sh1te

A view back to Lochend

We settled in for the evening at Cannich camping site. What a wonderfully clean & quiet location and not too busy at this time of year.

Next morning we wander to the end of the road that takes you into Glen Affric

Conclusion after the shake down trip in reverse order;-

C – The bike coped just fine . . . as I thought it would :respect13:

B – Didn’t come across anything that I didn’t / wouldn’t have a use for (inflatable dolls are essential company on long trips away from home . . . allegedly)

A – Only the one thing and that was some lube – for the bikes chain you perverts

Popped in to pester the Grouse tester - apparently he was at a prolonged tasting session yesterday and was a tad "fragile" when we knoccked on the door ;)
Thanks for coffee John - strong and black the way you needed it

Great company on a great little ride. Now, where did I put that map of Italy?

Nice one Steve, thanks for calling in on way home
I don't normally partake of a few shandies on a Saturday night as I am more often than not out on the bike on the Sunday.
However, seeing how it was Grand National day and given my past form, I thought it prudent to partake.
I only bet on the National. Last year, I picked the first and second horse, netted £480.
This year , same again on the winner, only £160, plus Jack won £90 on the pub sweep, all in all, a good day for the Ross family :respect13:
I am told I have paid for the family to go to the pub jolly boy races at Perth in June o_O

Looking forward to it, last time I was at the races was a couple of years back at youngest son's stag at Bath races.
It was ladies day, so we dressed him up a bit and entered him for the best dressed filly. The remaining Teuchters were were dressed as Highland Gentlemen :)

He didn't win
Bath will never be the same !!!

Anyways Steve, attacked the pampas bush in the garden.
We were told ( after we planted it ) that is was a signal for a swingers party. :cool2:
Well we have had it for 20 years now, not one enquiry, not one knock at the door.
It has to go

1 hour of the petrol strimmer to cure my " sair heid " on the Sunday and it was shredded.
Going to get a machine in to do the rest !!
Will be in touch re hook up at Perth before we set off

I hope you have warmer weather than we’ve had. Second night in France and top temperature today was 12c in the sun with a forecast of just +1c tonight. Brrr. No camping for us. It can only get warmer…. Can’t it. Alpine passes tomorrow so maybe not.

Yes. Now in Italy. I’ll start another thread. Before long but I do need to remember to take some pics.

Here’s one of me in my pants.

You must be getting soft after losing all that weight Austin. I'll take 12c any time. Still, it looks good on you both.
