I have to say @Chad you've done a fantastic job there! Well done that man. Everyone form an orderly queue to have your bikes restored. :)

I would be interested to know how you did that rear wheel hub chad. Mine is getting corroded where the spokes screw in. I assume it hasn't been dismantled so just wire brush and other implements and paint?

Mikeyboy said a strip, powder coat, and new spokes (always corroded in) comes in at around £7-800 per wheel!!!!

What as well as all the acf50 I regularly paint on.
Yep.

Remember my '02 Transalp, the one that everyone thought was grubby and neglected...

These were the forks before and after a bit of a clean up when I sold it.
~80k miles, for quite a few years it had daily winter commuting and more latterly spending most of the year under a sheet 100 yards from the sea for a couple of years.

Completely original lacquer with virtually no tarnishing.
The wheels were also all but perfect, clean enough to knock some pampered garage queens' finishes into a cocked hat [emoji1]

Now, if that Chad, looked after Vaders bike properly from the start, it wouldn't have needed all this palava.

Waxoil, it's the way forward!
