Well i finally made it !...and met some of you guy;s after 2.1/2 years ...after the initial damp start to my excursion...as i'm an idiot, and don't wear the right gear...I duly " fell off " for the third time in 39 bloody years of part time biking..but ended up fixed up again and mobile with your help...and had a really good time, chin wagging around the humongous camp fires with a few ciders with a really clear starry sky'd totally dry evening and good company...learned a bit more about bikes "n " bits from you experienced blokes...and i'll try and avoid the mud in future and next time it will be a " proper " air bed and sleeping bag...

Pleasure meeting you Andy all the others, I took the scenery route back, great ride back through some wonderful part of the country. Apologies to all of you whom I didn't get to say goodbye.

Thanks to all of you for a great weekend and to those who worked hard to organise it all. See you all soon I hope :)

Nice one. Got home in time to see the wee man playing rugby. Great to see everyone. May I add my thanks to all those responsible.

Now regarding our parking tickets from Southwold.
Can someone post a photo of the parking instructions sign? I might have a go at writing an informal appeal letter.
Can anyone advise: would we do better acting as a group rather than appealing individually...?

Managed to get the tent down almost dry with that bit of wind we had.

Cheers to Andy for organising, campsite was great, good craic

Great to see everyone again

This is what I sent the appeal, along with photos of the carpark sign plus the close-up of the relevant part.

The carpark sign states that motorcycles can park free and requests they park considerately.

I was riding one of ten large motorcycles and in order to adhere to the signage we parked, taking up 1 1/2 of the (all empty) larger bays instead of in excess of a minimum of 6 smaller bays as the car park was near capacity.

According to the signage, no bays are indicated as being excluded from this permission.

If this is the case, I believe it should be stated clearly on the carpark sign.

Post mounted signs indicating exempted bays would also avoid any confusion.

I appeal against my parking ticket on the grounds of unclear signage.

Been in Eastbourne for a few hours.
Swapped steeds at home on the way, as I was near enough passing and it was gusting.
Good decision.... gale force down here.

Thanks to you all for organising the weekend so that non contributing messers like me can turn up and take advantage.

Hope my appeal blarney helps.

Made it home, got a little rain, but made it home mostly dry.

The tent is soaked through and will need some time to dry.

It was great to see a lot of familiar faces, and a couple of new ones as well!

I'll start looking around for a campsite in the Netherlands for next year!

Oh and credit roll of thanks to our resident Piro Manager (Hudders) for building great fires :)

Hope everyone got home safe and sound by now and I Look forward to seeing you all again at the next one

Hi everyone. It was great to meet such a warm and friendly group of like minded people this weekend. You all made me feel very welcome. Thank you Andy for choosing my campsite!

In other news, I've lost my parking ticket. I'm guessing if I wait long enough they will send me another which I can then appeal?

Seven days to appeal, Bernie.
Go to the site, there's a phone number.
The site's above that phone number (that's a pay line) on the ticket.
Here's a pic of my ticket.
Time on yours will be similar and reference one number either side.
Don't leave it and don't pay it.
Your discounted price lasts until you exhaust the appeals procedure.....
We will.
