If im going to do 4/5 hours motorway that would put me well into a bit of continental riding. What a choice Yorkshire or continental, needs thinking about.

For the continent in 2019, you'd have to allow 4/5 hours queuing on the contra-flow past the M26 Lorry Park, then another 4/5 hours queuing on the contra-flow past the M20 Lorry Park, then 4/5 hours queuing at border control for a visitor's visa. Don't forget to take your International Drivers Permit!

I'm hopeful about coming along this year. It's been a while since I last made it to a National!

Me too, I'll try and make the effort. Scenic route to Yorkshire will do me, can't stand motorways on a bike. Lots of roads to chose from :D
