So, how's the corona virus affecting you?

I'm feeling for you folks. I won't torment you with pictures as our lock-down isn't as aggressive as yours in the UK, although, like the UK, everything is closed up and all the other social distancing, masks, etc. apply. We just don't have enforcement so even though I've been able to ride a bit, it feels distinctly weird and a lot like cheating.

So stay safe and stay well. You'll all be riding those glorious mountain roads soon enough. Most of all, stay well.

Slight change of subject,
The tracker on the TA, sent me an email to let me know that the battery was getting low.
And it was right.

Don't know what to say.........

Got to admit I am making the most of this. Setting students work from home. They are not obliged to submit work for assessment so I post up mark schemes for self assessment the following day. Noice.

Did 337 pushbike miles in April, all close to home, nearly all with the lad who is killing me on hills. Biggest problem here is horses, generally riding two abreast and not giving way when warned of approaching bikes.

De-winterised the AT, putting some crud removal TLC into brake pistons.

Projects are aplenty. Had a go at making some DMLs out of underfloor insulation and audio exciters. Rebuilt a 1989 NAD amplifier with all new elcaps and output transistors. Currently building some speaker stands for wee speakers in dining room. Next I'm stripping my Carlsbro mixer to clean the faders & pots.

Loving the camping photos!

Keep safe all.

Last ride? Yes definitely and ride it like you stole it especially as it’s on PCP.

Boot size? Your estate can keep your tent.

Seriously, only if you also have a high temperature. That’s the key symptom afaik.

Week 8 here in Spain.......and we've got the strictest lockdown in Europe with the Police, Guardia Civil, and even the Army on the streets.

This has been my only view since early March!

On the way home from the national last year I pulled in at Devils Bridge for a brew. This bloke pulled up next to me on a NC 750. Complemented me on my bike and said he used to have one and has spares I can have. Said he lives at ulverston. I said I'm sure we have met before. So a few years ago I pulled in to admire the view on the coast road between barrow and ulverston. This guy screeched to a halt in his van and shouted You Bastard. I'd done nothing wrong so just said what's up mate. He said it's fucking cleaner than mine.
Anyway a few weeks later this carrier bag turns up on my doorstep with a brand new Honda pump, reg/rec, levers and inner tubes front and rear. So this week I've tested the reg/rec according to Chads advice and soldered in new connections so I can easily replace the pump if needed. The bloke who dropped the bag of goodies off refused any payment. How good is that.

Alright people?

I'm still locked down in Eastbourne with my old mum.
That's 11 yrs since her stroke.

I spotted Soho Nick with his latest attempt at social distancing...... wasn't going so well. :)
