I could come down to you first to make it worth going out the front door, [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]
(Its only 120 miles to oban from skye)
That would make it 640 miles to oban for me. Much more like it. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]
Craic would be good too.

You mad bastard! :D

I remember the Rosedale Abbey do, it's only about 20 miles form my door! I got there, set up my tent etc... realised I'd left me sleeping bag at home so just nipped back for it. :D :D

I remember Buggles turning up starving and being delighted with one of my sausage sarnies.

I think it pissed down and Ian Porter took refuge in my huge vestibule (ooh er).

My youngest son lives in the area and owns a chalet park near Oban ( and no, he doesn't do campers, already asked :D ) but he is going to have a chat with the camp site and see if they can do a reduced rate for a booking. Wouldn't hold your breath though, Oban is a much sought after place the now, absolutely hoaching with tourists.
Will keep you updated
Thanks for nice wishes, was a while back now :(

I got the Thursday Friday and Monday Tuesday off for adventuring and picking up haggis and black pudding.

J's post leads me to ask - Am I missing something (apart from hair of course ) - has a location and date been sorted?

you didn’t get the invite, did you

no, I don’t have a scooby either. Oban perhaps, some time in September possibly. I suspect I may be heading towards Greece either in a small sports car or in a big Volvo with a bike on a trailer. But who knows these days.
