Seems to be a lot of Abbeys and stately homes in the area. Since we have plenty time I might go and see a few

Quite fancy St Andrews golf museum (sad I know).

Tony, St Andrews is a 200 mile round trip from Kelso on pretty boring roads. :(

Andy.

It's the bloody BBC weather map that fools everyone Andy :D Scotland is only supposed to be about 50 miles top to bottom according to the Beeb.

Yes, you have Melrose, Kelso and Jedburgh Abbeys, Floors castle, the Hirsel and Bowhill house to name just a few.

If you mean off road....its Scotland so nowt official. If you mean road, then you some of the best biking roads in the world are on your doorstep. Difficult to pick out a duff route.

I have Found a route of around 150 miles, back roads, green lanes, and kielder Water and forest drive in a loop.

I don't know the green lanes so it would be a bit of trail and error.

The GS is off the table. It's just not going to happen in time. I've got only a few days (outside of work) left to work on it and it's still missing jugs and a rear wheel. I'd also be taking an utterly untested bike abroad. Pity, Kielder looked like fun.

So if it's going to happen it'll be in the van, errr on the K. :)

It is done.

That'll be thursday then, probably sometime around noon.

Now let's see how many still unpacked boxes I have to raid to find where all my gear's gone...

Pete, if you would be so kind to bring my tent. :D

May not make this one final drive popped in the way into work. So it's in my garage feeling sorry for it's self, not sure the extent of the job or if I'll have the time to fix before the national.

That bloke that's arranging this has gone a bit quiet, someone give him a shove to see if he's still breathing :D

Nasty man Bob, nasty man! :D

I'll be there for the Saturday night, Derek will be in tow and Barrowload is making an appearance. It's the only night I can make it but better than nothing.
