For the last couple of months I have been dodging about between the doctor and the hospital getting blood tests, more blood tests, a CT scan, bone marrow biopsy, etc and today I saw the consultant for the results. Seems I have an enlarged spleen caused by non-hodgkin lymphoma which is a form of cancer. Next stop is a date with the Macmillan people to talk through the treatment course which involves getting a course of a drug called Rituximab over a 4 week period which hopefully, will knock it back. I do hope they start on me soon before the weather turns for the better as I do not want to miss any biking in the coming year. :)

Well, you could come up and clean my bike as it's a bit dirty after the last couple of days. :) No need to worry about me mate, I have survived car crashes, bike crashes and pneumonia so I will kick this shit into touch as well but thanks for your concern.

Well you've got the right attitude at least, but still, shit. That's not good. Hope the drugs knock the shit out of it with you done and ready to ride again before the weather even turns nice.

This is what retirement does to you ya lazy auld bugger!

Shit news though mate, I can't imagine what it must be like to get such news. I really hope the drugs kick it into touch and you beat this because despite the piss taking you're a top bloke Andy.

"tis' barely but a scratch" eh Andy. That's the spirit :).

I am only an hour and a bit away if you need anything - beer, baccy, scotch, haggis, battered mars bars and health giving stuff like that. But I don't clean bikes either.

Seriously mate, if you need help give us a shout and as before there's a bed waiting to break up the journey to Wales.

Are they going to irradiate you and turn you bald and green.

On a serious note Vader is moving further north, closer to you. So you have two choices get better or we send pete to look after you. Look after your self.

Andy,

Macmillan are great people, the strange one works part time for Marie Curie and she rates them highly.
They rest of the guys have echoed my feelings.
Anything I can do, whether it be carrying out a service on your Zimmer or whatever, you know where I am :cool2:
You don't need me to tell you that you are a stubborn old git, beat this you tosser

I know you can

Best wishes Mate
