Just watched him on Dave tonight doing the SSDT filmed last year.
Good on him for tackling it, don't think it is going to have a happy ending though  It is on next Thursday as well 8 pm.
Well worth a watch for entertainment value if nothing else.

My lights keep flickering due to this Caroline thingy.

Better look out the candles I think

Amazing perseverance to get to the end of the first day. I agree that it doesn't look like he'll last the next five!!!

Don't think I get Dave, will have to look for it elsewhere so hope it's on catchup somewhere as I like these kinds of shows.

The guy he's riding with is a complete and utter twat, grade-A royal prick. I would have told him to fuck right off, whay annoys me more is Ross sits there and takes it, then says off camera it's all his fault and the guy is right and fekkin defends him!? He's supposed to be bleedin Northern, man the fuck up and tell that soft southern shit to fuck right off and nut him!

I met in at one of the fuel stops when he was coming off one of the moors sections and he couldn't talk he was that knackered.

I would love to give it a go but i think ill stick to the tarmac and fire roads on the 990 following.

He did well to be fare as there are a lot that don't get round, but it was the warmest year iv known and no rain all week so he was lucky, or that could of changed thing.

Poor bugger,

Not enough prep time before the event, was always going to end in tears.

I've always said, one of the major setbacks is the cross country and I think that confirms it in the last episode.
Riding across 30 mls of gorse and peat is bad enough, but when you have to follow 100 + bikes in the bog, believe me, it is very very tough.
My brother in law used to follow behind on his Beta and pick up the markers and you wouldn't believe the amount of ruts these guys churn up during the event.

All I can say is that I know , personally, a good few good local riders who compete year after year, and they always suffer, so gawd knows what hell Mr Noble' s going through.

The programme is unusual in that it appears to b dry most of the time ???
Fort William is notorious for, it's shall we say , rather dreich weather, so I was surprised to see so much sunshine during the event. Please note suvverners, that the picture postcard scenes you see are not always so spectacular when it is p1shhing down.:)

If it had been as per the majority of the last few years, ie torrential rain, he wouldn't have got past the second day.

Well done , Mr Noble, good on you for trying, but next time, a few kilos off the weight and you'll be fine :cool2:
