Picked her up on Sat. Did an all nighter wiring job, figuring out how to remove fairings and get some wires from batt to under seat, and from under seat to FOH. Installed satnav and heated grips. Still need to replace my quick connector block with proper soldered ting. Also fuse is at the wrong end of live wire since space v tight around battery. Guessed what it is yet?

"get some wires from battery to under seat" would lead towards a F800GS, cos it's battery is where "normal" bikes have their fuel tanks, but I is of limited intellygents, so what do I know ;)

Now, where are the obligatory piccies?

High Cost!!!!

High Cost!!!!!

I'll have you know I've spent more on filling the thing with fuel over the past 2.5 years than anything else.

Now, about those piccies that you've missed out on posting? ;)

It's the manual one. Tried both, but tbh I didn't like being unable to blip the throttle a bit when filtering, and the auto seemed a bit hard to predict. Probably great when you're used to it.
Now replaced my live wires with braided sheath 25A twincore, with fuse at the correct end of wire, just about accessible in the battery box. So should be safe. Only thing is it will be a royal faff to get the battery out as it's held in with the wires pulling from the other side, and I didn't leave much slack...
Nice torquey bike to ride, but doesn't quite have the instant grunt of the GSX. Sounds good with std exhaust though.
