I think my eldest son will be coming by car, he had a lot of time for Geoff. Please add Ken to the list Steve

No intention of making a list of attendees. I just put up the names/number to get this thread moved up.

Be great to see ya'll come the day.

John - will Geoffs family be popping up for the event or did they bring him with them for Belladrum?

Just wondering if Geoff was going to be making his last climb over the weekend we are at Acilltibui or has he already made it?

Talk soon.

Steve,

Geoff's family will not be coming as Alan is celebrating his 40th birthday at Santa Pod that weekend, but they are very grateful to BT/XRV for organising the event.

Geoff is still down south, they will be spreading his ashes next year on his birthday, so that could be another excuse for a weekend away. I have made sure that they have got the right hill as the old git would be exceedingly grumpy if they got the wrong one :D
Geoff told me a while ago that he bought a ticket for Bella, thought he was optimistic at the time, but I guess it was his goal. Lyndsey and Alan used his ticket and I think they really enjoyed this year's whisky olympics
I certainly did :p

Catch you later

I am (maybe even we are) a rather weak "maybe".

oops I didn't look at the date, or maybe I did but it didn't register that its also our wedding anniversary on the 7th. We have been to Nationals before on our anniversary, but not this year. I am hoping to get to one or both of the Overland (magazine) Event in Oxford the weekend before the National or the UKGSer Ullapool meet later in September.

I’m out. :(

The GS is still at the shop with no word on what or when. It -might- still be done on time but time is getting awfully short, I haven’t been on the damn thing at all since June and my confidence on a bike was still a bit sketchy to begin with after my recent adventures to be doing a 1000 mile round trip from a standing start.

Too much other life-shit going on besides, so, yeah. Hopefully next time...

Actually, I'm not. :( Number 1 is doing her first half marathon that weekend, the great north run, and support is required. Have a great time all. :)

I'll be travelling up with Paul and Steve on the Friday morning. We may well take the long way up ;)
Rick is travelling up on the Thursday hopefully to the right camp site

I have told the owner to expect some ruffians from the Wednesday onwards, he is ok with that.
He is also ok with us making a small fire ( cue Hudders :D), but hasn't got a fire pit ??
When you arrive, just say to park up as far away from the German fella ( I have already warned the owner ) who incidentally was expecting a Mr Pear in his cottage , something to do with him not understanding ze language ??
Say you are booked through Big Trailie, or in my name, John Ross. What could possibly go wrong ??
The owner is a nice chap, looking forward to the Langoustines in the bar, big brutes the last time I had them there.

Weather's looking good, so here's hoping
