Well, if you will take Big Bird out of the shed, what do you expect? :)

She's been on the road since the beginning of May, but I still haven't covered a thousand miles in the past 2 months on her.

To many bikes and dogs and too little time me-thinks

Very nice, I have been told many times that there is no off roading in Scotland . I see that this is obviously true :D

Bob,

Just ten years ago that was still an adopted road and on the councils books. There are still a few patches of tarmac to be found near all the wash out.

Give it another ten years of council funding cuts and all of our roads will look just like that one - another good reason for having and riding a long travel suspension bike :D

I was there as well on the Sunday
Well not quite that far up the Glen, did the Moo/Cannich loop back to A82
Roads were dead quiet if not a little damp in places.

There’s a little bit (4miles-ish) of forestry track you can ride up that way. Go to the Falls of Linn then carry on up to Cougie Lodge. It soon turns into a gravelly road through the forest up to Cougie Lodge. I semi-wild camped there 2 or 3 years ago. Great spot surrounded by Scottish wilderness. Cougie Lodge is a pony trekking place with a few cottages to rent and a small bothy /bunkhouse. Would be a good place for meet-up.

Yeah I've been up that road for a nosey many years ago Austin.
That road is quite popular due to walkers and the falls

Mmmm a meet there ?? I would think that the midges might be a problem.
Any worries with the little blighters when you were there ??

It was end of September just before an ABR meet up in Ullapool. It could be a real midge-fest but not so bad then. With it being a bunk house bothy type place there’s an escape indoors.

This is the place Highland Trekking and Trail Riding. Run by a really wild character who seemed to have gone completely native. He drank a lot of my whisky ☹️

Seeing as I no longer "do" work on a Friday (or Monday for that matter :respect13:), took the Big Bird out this afternoon after getting all of my chores done . . .

Just a short run out, with a little side excursion to grab this photo that shows off the leaves starting their autumnal change.
