So, how's the corona virus affecting you?

Things seem to be fairly sensible here in the Republic. No panic buying or other idiocy that I've come across so far.

The universities have closed for a fortnight, so Rachel's working from home for the next two weeks.

Me? I'm carrying on with the decorating........

Seems to be pretty much carry on as normal here too. The roads seem to be a bit quieter. That’s about it.

As Austin says, pretty normal here as well unless you want to buy sanitiser or toilet rolls, what is wrong with people?? I have decided to self-isolate on my bike by taking a flask so no need to go into cafes, and I will buy petrol at pay at pump filling stations although it can be a bit awkward using a card with gloves on.;):)

Pretty normal here, we can even get toilet rolls. Been told by the medical people in my family to avoid as much social contact as possible. Apparently the best thing to do is keep washing your hands and keep them away from your face.
This poxy weather is getting me down more than any poxy virus.

All safe here.

Stuffed my nose and ears with pasta , then wrapped myself in bog roll o_O- should be OK for a couple of weeks :clapping:, though I'm not too sure how I'm gonna ride the bike while encumbered by all this safety gear !

Been mad at work with all of the pandemic planning, answering questions for customers worrying about it.
And the generally ensuring we can carry on! Sending people to work from home when they’re balancing a laptop on their knee and trying to do a days work!

I've been self isolating for the past 3 months after my back fusion. I am supposed to be back at work Monday as I can't do with the boredom much longer. But now I'm in a dilemma. They are on about closing my work down for safety reasons. Also I'm not sure if we get full pay like I have been while I'm off.
I was in asda yesterday at 8.45am and all 10 pallets of bog roll delivered that morning had gone. All the beer can shelves were empty too.

Well a week is a long time in a pandemic. We needed some bog roll and bread, but nowt on shelves for a couple of days, and generally shops looking decimated, so wife is down at Booths supermarket early doors this morning - not too early, Booths is a very civilised business with a delivery at a respectable 9 to 9.30am - and was allowed one 4 pack and one loaf, the last on the shelf actually.

After agonising over it all week we decided to drive down to visit my mum in hospital this afto on the basis that travelling and hospital visits would only get harder and riskier as time goes by. What a pleasure it was: M6 quiet enough but the A49 south through Cheshire and Shropshire was a real pleasure with not much traffic. Pretty much drove at the posted speed limit plus a bit all the way. Now looking forward to the return journey tomorrow and fill up pay at at at pump Asda. . If you can justify it to yourself bike riding could be the best it’s been for a long time for the coming weeks. Take a flask and picnic though and keep yourself to yourself.

Pretty quiet here too......:thumbsupanim:......but seriously, quieter than normal. Sadly, despite the beautifully sunny weather it's too cold to go anywhere, which is a shame because I just bought a new Bigtrailie (emphasis on the big) and have only been able to sneak a few road miles in so far and have yet to find out how it handles of the tarmac. Terrible, is what I suspect, but we shall see. Stay well everyone.

That is one Huuuuge motorcycle @nick949 and it looks to be in fantastic condition. I don't think we had them in the UK so know nothing about them. Not my cup of tea though so may have just missed them. Enjoy though and I hope it suits Chris too.

7500 in the States, 700 in Canada, a handful elsewhere. Suzuki's idea was to out-Goldwing Honda, and technically, they did, but not in the market. I also suspect they lost money on every one. It's a behemoth, but so smooth and comfortable. Not really my style either, but oddly seductive - and the main part is, the passenger accommodations are luxurious and expansive (with its own CB and pneumatic seat controls). Best of all, it handles soggy dirt and gravel just fine. You knew I'd have to check :respect10: (you've ridden that road).

Getting a bit of work tidying the garden.
1 x rotavator purchased (knackered, obviously [emoji3] )
Fixed said rotavator.
Chopped up the lawn.
Turned said rotovator into a 'ickle tractor.
Now to fix the lawn!

Next job, a motorised trailer to cart the kids about in!
