The roads are a dream for a courier right now, but today I had to hit the coast with a job too big for the bike. So in the car, and guess what ?...........Lucky I've started the habit of travelling with food and Thermos at all times now ! Held on the M2, engines off radio on for over an hour.

WTF's going on down there Nick ??
An HGV tanker, vans, cars -- all going to the shops ?? don't think so.
This country is feked, China managed to control this thing, but we can't go on like this.

I am proud of the way Nicola Sturgeon and the Scottish government are handling this, we seem to be doing everything right before England to conquer this horrendous situation.
I am not an SNP fan, but I think I will be once this lot clears up.

Take care Nick, know parcels have to be delivered, just take care.

I listened to Nicola Sturgeons speech laying down the law like a proper leader, in complete contrast to boosterish Boris who sounded more like he was asking the nation to do him a fuc*ing favour.
Roads in the city are deadly quiet, but 50% of the (albeit light) traffic on the motorways are are not working drivers (trust me I can tell). I'm dropping laptops to IRC (International Rescue) people working from home .
West of Salisbury yesterday by bike as usual . East coast today in the car with a 30" monitor just wouldn't fit in the top box !!!
These bloody people normally commute into London's Barbican, what a trek.
If you see any of my lot up there, arriving at their holiday homes................call your local vet and have them put down would you. They won't be missed.

Easy Now.

A friend (known him for over 40years), his wife suffered symptoms of this virus last Friday, she passed away in hospital on Sunday night. She was under 50 and healthy, leaves behind a husband and two boys.
This thing is real.
Take care all.

this thing is a bummer .....:( after such a long time I had finally decided t take the plunge and change bike......so now I have one outside the house I no longer want, and the one I really want, into a Honda dealer in lock down .......but when you see what is happening all around, taking delivery of a bike seems to be such a trivial matter. So many tragedies unfolding our there, there seems to be no end in sight :(

keep safe everybody and take this shit very, very seriously.........

Hi everyone.
I agree with you all, i fail to see how people can't grasp the seriousness of this pandemic.

On a lighter note, was cleaning the bike this afternoon, since i can't go for acasual spin, and noticed some rust on one the forks, I should have taken a photo. Managed to clean it back with solvoautosol after taking mudguard off.
The offending bit is about 2mm square.
I was thinking how dissapointing, but to be fair, it could have been caught by a stone.
Transalp never showed any signs of corrosion though, and that was up forestry tracks

Looking forward to the next meetup with you all, sometime in future.

Everybody take care and stay safe.

Kev u old dog! How u doin? Quiet in here these days but the dinosaurs show their faces occasionally! Personally, 3 old parents are a real worry but as Boris shows, it doesn't take prisoners! Sorry to hear about Phil's friend. Missing being out on the bike but times are strange. Being a bit mad helps! I think. Are you working at the moment Kev? Visions of you in a NBC suit at the wheel!

Hello Tone :)

Returned (rental cab) over 2 weeks ago after working Saturday without a fare, so no income. Cleared £72 before tax that week.

Couldn't justify the risk to myself or those around me.
Missus has Rheumatoid Arthritis and my stroke ridden mum is 87.

I've been in Eastbourne with my old mum Queenie ever since.
Can't really swap households around so.....

10 bus drivers dead and 6 Taxi drivers as far as I know atm....gotta be more Private Hire due to exposure.
Taxi driver mate recalled as paramedic....his nurse wife has been in at the sharp end from the beginning.

We offered all sorts of deals to government for NHS staff due to the safer environment in a purpose built taxi but no real response..... shame.

My mate in Israel said they've been confined to their towns but from tomorrow it's gonna be their houses.

Hope you're all well (looks like there's been a bit of bad news already).

Being out in the Boonies is looking good to me right now - still, it always did.

I've logged in to try to keep up.

Off to doc's with Queenie (no choice) for warfarin checks with my newly manufactured masks.
I played with her sewing machine. :D

Cabby, I have never heard of another Queenie that was my mother's name. The family have never worked out it's origin.

Take care....
