So, how's the corona virus affecting you?

Good news story. My mum was tested positive for CV19 two weeks ago. She is 89 very very frail with dementia just starting to show and a load of other age related stuff. She has been in and out of hospital 4 times this year. She picked it up in the hospital she has been in for the last 4 weeks. We fully expected her to die. But completely asymptomatic and following a negative test yesterday has been discharged to a care home. Hopefully the care home will help her rehabilitate so she is a bit more mobile again. It will be nice to be able to visit as soon as we are able.

This disease is very fickle.

My phone appointment went off today.
It said " All day in Strontian "

For those that don't know, thats the annual highland bike meet we go to.

Bloody phone keeps reminding me about strontian.
Saw 5 bikes out today.
Kidding aside
I am not sure i should go for ride. I am quite desperate but not many side roads like lowflyer.
Itls not the old bill, just the personal moral dilemma.
Nearest golf course is 36 miles away, but i need to go on a decent ride. (Take golf club)
100 miles at least.
I could pull the autistic card and say it totaly zones out my brain, which isn't a lie.
I dunno.

Like most things in life, you only need to justify it to yourself Rick [emoji6]

So far I've had reminders for (and missed out on);
A family visit to Cornwall
Boys bike trip to IoM for a friends 60th
A few days on Anglesey
Forest Holiday
And this weekend was a friends' 50th do at St Albans (intended taking the bike)

Ain't the phone reminders great. It's like 'this is what you could have done' [emoji848]

Good news about your mum Austin.
A great aunt recently passed (from good old, old age) she would have been 100 in a few months, born in 1920 so not a bad innings really! More tragically my 20 yr old nephew (neither from cv19)
Enjoy every day folks - none of us know when the switch is going to be flicked!

Well from Monday the 8th June I can now legally travel anywhere I want to within County Donegal and up to 20 kilometres should I wish to invade another county.

The furthest I could get from the house (and staying within Co Donegal) would probably be Malin Head - just short of 94 miles away.

Well, at least it's a start.
