A wee bit north . . .

Not been to the north coast for some time, so today was the day to remedy that.
Quickish road to Inverness, north on the A9 then onto the turn off for Bonar Bridge and some twisties.
1st pictures are views from the Struie of the Dornoch Firth

Past Bonar Bridge and then the back road to the Falls of Shin visitors centre/café. The “thing” sculpture cum walkway cover is, apparently, a salmons tail!

Headed for Altnaharra and happened upon some open gates . . .

Took a left at Altnaharra and took the very small road that runs along the base of the hill Ben Hope

This is called a Brock – Wikipedia is your friend if more info is required

And who lives in a house like this . . .

Looking back at Ben Hope & it’s similarly named Loch

Next bit of tarmac that didn’t have huge clumps of grass growing out of the middle of the road was part of the NC500 route. This is the sea Loch Eribol

Nearer Durness can be found stunning beaches like this . . .

The only problem with taking a dip in the brimmy up here is that you very quickly turn the same colour as the water

A nice scenic picture of a Scottish hill

And then there is this one, Arkle, a favourite of mine

All told I covered 308 miles . . . and there is still some fuel available for use in the little bikes tank. Now that is impressive . . . even if my average speed wasn’t. But you don’t see much when you wiz past things :motorcycle:

Just Photoshop your own bike onto those pictures, and save a load of fuel! :D

To clarify, there are no co-ordinates attached to Johns pictures that I can find (I looked after the above post from John).

I just happened across the same open access as John did and decided to take a look-see. Came acroos the location that was in the photo's (mine) and decided that it would make an interesting photo. CLICK o_O

Oooooh, don't know about that sunshine.
Like the similar off road track you posted on GS forum, the one down from the Suidhe viewpoint ? Taken a week earlier. ? At exactly the same location.
To be honest I'm not really bothered
If that's the story, who am I to argue ?
End off as far as I'm concerned

Joking apart,

This is a serious issue if, say you are taking photos of a bike for sale using an I phone.
You forget to disable the location function  Mr Pikey downloads said photo and subsequent accurate location using the co ords, and bingo, your pride and joy suddenly disappears overnight.
Sobering thought, be aware out there chappies, strange world we live in.
Take care and be vigilant.
