Bootiful weather today, so out & about I went on the bike for a scenic brew . . . Roads were virtually empty, which is very nice - not that I was rushing anywhere you understand! Saw 2 other riders over the 90 miles circle wot I rode. Nice not working, innit :happyspin: Steve T :cool:

Jim, The campsite owners have not made their mind up re the music festival - they have just blocked of the accomodation as a "just in case" it does go ahead. As for what sort of music festival they host, one can only hope all us crusties fit in, man :respect13:

Tony, At the moment none of the "other" accomodation on the site is free, as mentioned in my original post, due to a possible music festival on the same weekend. Steve

Whilst passing away the time in Dumfries & Galloway last month, Austin put forward the idea of me popping down to his neck of the woods to chase up some pheasants & partridges as a beater. Having been regaled with tales of spectacular scenery and wonderous drives by Austin, not just on the day...

So, the plan was to head south on Thursday 26th Sep. for the ABR Ecky Thump Rally at Goathland, on the North Yorkshire Moors – neither place visited by me, so a new bit of the island to discover & enjoy . . . . . . but the weather gods had other ideas, dropping nearly a months worth of H2O onto...

Been a week since I rolled some decent, non-shopping miles under the bikes wheels, so into the hills I did a-wander . . . No where new for me, but the bike got its first real taste of wet & sticky. Didn't really appreciate how much rain we've has over the last week :oops: Steve T :cool:
