Stenna Line are doing £25 off Harwich to the Hook ferry for motorcycle & rider with discount code JAN2. Maybe of use to anyone thinking of taking this crossing and prepared to book in Jan :respect-048:
"Motorbikers can also save a cool £25, but remember, this is a popular offer and ends 31...
Ahha, that's what I thought was the clever bit...defo worth checking out the YouTube video ...essentially the bracket starts on the floor, you push the bike onto it and as you tighten the straps the front wheel raises up :respect-048:
The only worrying thing I can see in that picture is the shite cheapo Chinese ratchet straps the goldwing has been tied down with (the orange 99p ones that I've seen break just when doing up!) :-/
Looking good and the label is the right way up :respect-048:
Mr XP, I guess you could say what if one of the wheels came off the car or tow vehicle. That'd create a mess too so I wouldn't say a floor in the plan by any stretch fella :respect-048:
Oh noooo gulp  :sadsmiley: :? there was me hoping everyone else would have been far too trolleyed to noticed, or at the very least far too hung over to ever remember! :?
Though I'll have you know some of the hangers-on who's beauty sleep I spared at the time, were...
Gotcha! Quite impressive solution that :respect-048:
It could almost be made available as an optional accessory I guess due to it being fully independent from the front wheel main bracket.
It's almost a hybrid in the sense the bikes frame becomes a the trailer chassis which in addition to...
I can't imagine tying back the clutch lever would do much for the springs and unless I've missed something I can't see how neutral would be an issue especially when all the drive train is supposed to turn. Perhaps the crosstourer might be an issue with the auto box but not an old fashion manual...
Know what you mean. They'd probably be ok for towing and from what I can see the rated nose weight far exceeds your V40 towbar, still when it comes to piece of mind there's gotta be little substitute for a proper flange towing bracket. Especially when supporting load and pulling.
My V70 has a...
Lots of these on the market though you'd need to check which one if any are suitable for towing as I think some are light weight and intended for cycle carriers only. Ball to flange adaptor..
Impressive that towing thing, and now I've got my head round how it works from an engineering perspective, it's bloody clever too!
I'm still toying with the idea of attempting to carry one of my smaller bikes on the roof of my volvo estate, I can't see any obvious obstacles with this...
Yep, my suspicions are confirmed and my bump of the above topic didn't bump it onto the homepage :-( Anyone else noticed this happening or rather nor happening?
