The bike review you'll want to read!

I will probably post it on ABR but ill ignore the keyboard warriors as all that interests me is that the bike does what it says on the tin. Back in the UK, just the long slog back up to Scotland to go. Roll on the next trip, as a one up tourer it's ideal, speeds up to three figures are no...

The bike review you'll want to read!

Hi all, standing in a hotel car park in Reims, France, just covered 11 Euro countries, over 5k miles on the new Honda CRF1000 Africa twin, I can honestly say, the bike has been outstanding! I'll do a full write up in the near future when home in Scotland, only a mere 800 or 900 miles to go! Lol...

The bike you wish you had never bought....

Triumph Tiger 800XC, spent more time in the shop than at home, Varadero did more miles that yr than the Tiger managed! Hence, never again!

    Mad I know, but . . . .

I'm struggling to find time for this I'm afraid, I've a 4x4 offroad gig the weekend after in the south of Scotland so I have booked off a long weekend for it and I've only three days entitlement left for this year! I've only been in my new job for three months so don't want to push them too much...

    Mad I know, but . . . .

As I didn't have a definite bike up to two weeks ago I missed out on this but now I've got my new Africa Twin I could be interested in this! I threatened to do it a couple of yrs ago. I'll go look see if there's positions left.

Loving the bike, yes Austin, Fiona has climbed on the back, no long distance yet but seems comfortable enough, also plenty of room for two up touring. Thanks guys.

    Ride/snow/weather report NE Scotland

Hi Ian, the Bonnie's a bike with character for sure! I still think it would make a better café racer than a scrambler in all honesty as the weight and balance is all wrong, but Yes, I am enjoying it as a plodder, you can spur it on when necessary, but it's not an exciting bike in any light...

    Anyone affected by the weather?

I wouldn't buy or sell a car that had been hip deep in diluted sewage, even from a health and safety point of view. The electrical issues etc would also be a nightmare. After flooding here in Elgin all cars were crushed in the clean up, the insurance would not pay out otherwise. Best of luck in...
