    American Road Trip

My brother who lives in Spain fancies an American road trip next March/April, starting & finishing in Las Vegas. Whilst not on my bucket list it would be good adventure for us both , I’ll be 61 & he will be 72, having never ridden together or spent much time in recent years. My reservation, no...

First proper ride on my new adventure bike

Enjoyed a very pleasant few hours out yesterday afternoon, covering some 145 miles over a mixture of road types around Herefordshire & Powys. I did question myself a few times as to my choice of route on the that type of bike, hey I bought it to ride not polish. I’m pleased with my choice & the...

Larger foot pegs for an RD07

A mate has recently bought an RD07 but wants larger foot pegs, I bought my stainless steel ones from someone in Poland & weren’t cheaper many moons ago. From memory I thought some pegs off another Honda fitted, maybe CRF 250/450, and from China were very reasonable. Any thoughts please?

    Tick Tock

I've sold my project ZZR1100 as I never get time to play with it, too many toys. My Varadero is off to the dealers as they offered a good part ex & no interest from other mediums.

    Some local TET revisited

Not having ridden since Christmas & a new conscript in tow, I thought nice and gently does it. The road section saw a light hail storm but we were soon blessed with glorious sunshine. 52 miles covered without serious incident, just a couple of horizontal rest periods. Considerably drier than the...

    Bit more TET

Tackled a few more sections of the TET close to home, the first four last week (on standard tyres) & the rest yesterday ( on Maxxis Max Cross Pro). Loving the little bike, transformed by fitting the Maxxis tyres (thanks to the recommendation of Boboneleg) & self confidence growing slowly. Even...

A toe in the TET water

Keen to get our recently run-in 250’s covered in mud we set off in the vain hope of conquering some local section of the Trans European Trail. We were on the back foot with me trying to ride & navigate! I’d downloaded the TET onto my phone & opened it via my Scenic App. Due to my technological...

    Pre-Firebreak Bimble

To coincide with the new little object of desire I’ve started using the Scenic App, the very curvy route option is very interesting. Completed 128 miles in the company of another recent 250 Rally convert in very pleasant weather. Passing Longtown Castle, through Hay-on-Wye, over the Berwyns...

    Tick Tock Bush Bash

TICK TOCK BISH BASH I’m basically crap at off road riding but still want to have a go, my limitations have been an inability & a heavy @. For a number of years I toyed with buying a lighter bike but never put my money where my mouth is. I fell in love with the CCM GP450, nearly buying one at the...

Starting from Abergavenny passing through Skenfrith, Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury, Tewksbury, Pershore, Broadway, Guiting Power (saw it on a calendar many years ago) and a fab lunch was had in...

Garmin Zumo 390 LM charging issue

I have a 390 which I have used on my @ without a problem until now. I couldn’t help myself

A mate is buying a new Tracer & selling his Varadero & a KTM Duke. If Anne’s come for a spin we’ve used the CBR but it’s not ideal at our age (haha) so a reasonably price lumpy thing was called for. Enter Vara stage left, “ooh I like that & it’s comfortable”, that didn’t take long did it. I’m...
