    Tick Tock

Nice colour scheme. I'd have one in my 'garage of six'... if I ever manage to get a garage, or six bikes for that matter!

    Austria 2023 (again)

First day on the way back, the 'Fuggerei' (very old social housing) in Augsberg. Second day returning, some twisties down to Cochem. And my final day was just autobahns/autoroutes to Calais.

    Austria 2023 (again)

Met up with some friends for the walking. Can you tell how much I love cable cars? (Hint, that's a grimace, not a smile.) Hotel has a nice pool, though!

    Austria 2023 (again)

I kinda like Austria. Roads and views similar to Switzerland without the costly vignette. Better food too. As usual, I researched places to visit on the way, so I had somewhere to take a break every day, some days two places to take a break. First day, the Royal Military Museum in Brussels...

    Balkans and more 2023

Looks great! I hate riding the main routes through France. Much prefer to go via Belgium (free but boring), Luxemburg (great roads, cheap fuel, expensive hotels), Germany (free and fast), Austria (free and pretty) into Italy. Switzerland an alternative to Austria, but you have to buy a 1-year...

First proper ride on my new adventure bike

Gorgeous bike. I saw one at a bike show some years ago. The pannier apertures appeared to be rather small; not sure you can get a crash helmet inside? Keeping to the wider roads, it should be a lot of fun. Will you be bringing it on my next 'crappy roads' ride?:D

How did you come to know that, Mike?

    Thinking about a van

I suspect that's the best solution. I too fancy the idea of owning a van, but even my slightly-wide car can be awkward enough in some situations, and a Transit is much wider still. I think the rule of thumb is, if someone wants to hide an action, it probably isn't legit (unless there is a very...

I went to Scotland, but it was too hot: Crieff Cloverleaf 2021

It was either too sunny: Or too stormy: The roads are pretty boring: And there's so much traffic: The buildings are dilapidated: And you never meet anyone interesting: Crieff Cloverleaf? Nah, give it a miss. (With apologies to the Visit Wales for nicking their style!)

Crieff Cloverleaf: if you enjoyed the NC500...

    Tick tock

When I tried the BMW 'configurator', it asked which colour scheme I preferred; I went for Triple Black. Later I chose lowered suspension, and it told me I had to have red/white/blue 'Rallye' style! Similarly, I passed on the chrome exhaust and keyless, but when I chose heated grips, it told me...

    Tick. Toc... Oh, it's here!

Cheers! In some ways it's somewhat equivalent to my old Varadero: road-oriented, good for long trips, yet still okay on the crappy back roads we have around Wales. (You may have similar roads elsewhere, but that's local knowledge!) The Versys's airflow management is remarkably good; I've been...

    Tick. Toc... Oh, it's here!

The Death Star and X-Wing have gone. :( Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me to introduce... {drum roll} The Green Goddess! A post-delivery ride to Rhossili, just to scrub the new tyres a little. :ride: The Worm's Head in the background.
