    Sunny snaps.

A few pics I took today, the first 2 are looking towards the Pentland hills. The rest are on the road from Gifford to Duns via Cranshaws. Another 100 miles on the clock on what was a rather warm day. Andy.

    People?

I stopped in a passing place, yes, I know, but I needed to clean my visor so took a picture to show the nice quiet single track. Nice, but when you look over the edge you see this. Old plaster and tiles along with loads of old carpet, this place is at least 18 miles from the nearest town so...

    Tick, tock, oh never mind.

No ticky tocky nonsense just to let you know I bought this last Friday. Great fun to ride and does just over 80 mpg, what's not to like? Mind you, the huge increase in bhp takes a bit of getting used to compared to the Classic, I mean, 24bhp means I have to be careful not to overdo it! ;) Andy.

    Small world.

I was sitting in the bike repair shop today drinking a coffee (as you do) when a guy came in for an MOT. I thought I knew the face and when he took off his helmet it was none other than Paul, AKA The Bimbler who now lives in Humbie only about 30 miles from me. I think the last time I saw him was...

    One down.

One down and one to go, I sold the NC today so that just leaves the Royal Enfield Classic 350 to be advertised and then I can look forward to being bikeless for the foreseeable future. :oldman: Andy.

    It's time.

This is just to let you all know that having thought it through for the last few months I have decided that it is now time for me to give up biking. Even though I bought a new bike in August to see if a change would help I still feel the same, sometimes I look out the window and think it's a...

    Another one?

The word seems to be popular at the moment so.............. Tick. And before you start, it's not an invalid carriage or a wheelchair. :oldman: Andy.

    Erection.

I bet the thread title made you look! :) I just put up my canvas cottage today to check that all was well as it has never been out of the bag for 2 years. Everything was as it should be so now ready for the big Traillie meet...

    Who put that there??

I thought I would go out for a wee run yesterday morning, dry, sunny if a bit cool but I did not get very far, 18 miles in fact when rounding a right hand corner I was faced with this. The picture was taken looking back to the way I came. On seeing the mud I eased off the throttle and leaned my...

    Bright, dull, bright, dull.

The title sums up today's weather, I was a bit later on the go today as I had to go and get the flu jab just after 11 AM. With nowhere in mind I set off down to Kelso and then across to Greenlaw and on to Duns. Leaving Duns I headed across the hill road towards Longformacus and Gifford. The...

    Cross border run.

I was a bit late getting away today as I did not think it was going to be so good. Headed off to Hawick, Bonchester Bridge, Carter Bar and on down the A68. When taking the picture below I almost turned around around as I thought it was building for rain. As it turned out it came to nothing as...

    Last of the sun?

I thought I had better have a run out today as the forecast for the weeknd is looking a bit dodgy. As it was a clear day with no wind I went up the valley to St Marys Loch as I knew it would be like glass. And a better shot without the unsightly bike. Then I went back to the Gordon Arms Hotel...

    Out in the sun.

Out today to enjoy the sunshine, nowhere special in mind so just went wherever the fancy took me. All calm at Kelso. The Border bridge at Coldstream. And another couple of pics from Coldstream. Jedburgh Abbey complete with female and dog, she was not like moving so I just took the picture...

    Not just local.

I set off at 9.00 AM this morning for a run up the east side for a change, a nippy 3 degrees when I left home but it warmed up after about 1 hour on the road. After I got across the Forth, sorry, Queensferry Crossing the sunshine was making the day look good. The flatness of Fife near Freuchie...

    Just local.

Just a wee local run today taking in some proper roads and a bit of scenery. First up Megget Dam. Then along the hill road towards Tala reservoir. To reach one of my favourite views looking down into Tala from the top of the valley. And a picture from the dam itself. Leaving there I...

    Yonderman, again.

As I am going to the Peak District next weekend I will be at the Yonderman on Sunday morning 11/8/19 if anyone wants to have a chat and make happy man very old. :oldman: Andy.

    Cloud dodging.

I took a run up by Galashiels, Peebles, Stobo and Moffat, returning down by St Marys Loch managing to miss all the rain. Near the Beeftub there is a monument that I must have passed literally hundreds of times, but today I stopped to see what it was. Turns out it was in memory of two brave guys...

A day out in the sun.

I took a nice run to the seaside today by way of Pathead, Haddington and East Fortune ending up in North Berwick. The town was very busy as is usual when the sun is out. On the way out towards Dundar I stopped at a little cafe place and had the most expensive coffee and a scone ever.:eek...
