I've not been around for a few years now. No I haven't been in prison but I have been off the grid as such.
So what's been happening while I've been away? Bike wise who has what and what sort adventures have we all been up to?
Folks. Just a heads up for next weekend of the 2nd and 3rd August. Motoscotland (offroad riding school) are having an open weekend in aid of Kirsty's Kids and if you get the chance please pop along. As well as test rides etc there will be some bikers clubs and riding institutions present.

A year or so back Mrs H was looking for a new sleeping bag so I bought her a super dooper five season jobbie. OK it wasn't down but it was bloody expensive and worked really well.
Fast forward a bit and one of her work colleagues was going on a trip up Everest (well as far as...

I've just been down to a chaps house with my son to look at a car he was hoping to buy. The car seemed straight enough and the price was right and speaking to the owner (who has had the car for 18 months) everything lined up. All paper work fitted his story and I asked him if...
Has recently died.
I have to admit I thought he went years ago..
So who else is there that is still going that you had assumed had popped off years ago?
Or on the other hand who did you recently find out had kicked the bucket years ago but you though were sill going strong
and fancy a bit of off roading?
While I've nothing in particular in mind there are a few places near here that are good for an afternoon but I'm always a bit wary of going into the less accessible stuff on my own. So anyone local fancy a wee adventure?
It seems like ages since I've been out on any bike let alone the XR400 so as I had to take it for a MOT today at lunchtime I had a tiny detour
I'd forgotten how much fun that bike actually is

Right first a bit of background.
I'm lucky enough to have a couple of bikes at my disposal but I'm in a bit of a dilemma about a bike off road use.
Firstly I have the BIG R1200GS Adventure.. Yes I can take it off road and yes it's hard work and yes it falls over a lot. Thing is it's just too...
Specifically ask if had you been a woman wearing a burka would you also have to remove that. If he says no then you can claim she is discriminating based on your sex and religion which are both illegal.
Petrol is also an age related purchase. There is nothing to say the driver is the one...

So far I have watched the Downhill and Biathlon and it's just amazing to watch... Heart n mouth stuff and you never know what will happen next.
Only down side has been the C4 TV...
It's that time again.
Based on previous years the quality of the gear is variable ranging from what looked to be an exact copy of a Gericke GoreTex jacket for £50 to a completely useless intercom for a fiver
Worth a look regardless
