A day of power tool

Power tools you gotta love them. Especially when you use lots of them. Today I used
A dremel ( new battery, what a revelation).
Electric sander
Drills - power and battery
Impact gun (a lot)
Angle grinder - the best one
A heat gun - not hot enough so got the gas blow torch out.
Lawn mower
Leaf blower
Strimmer
Coffee grinder

pretty sure the wife used the washing machine, hoover and hair dryer too.

I was planning to do a bit of plastic welding too so an electric soldering iron would have been used but beer beckoned.

Sod the electric bill, it’s too much fun playing with tools.

I’ve also used most of a tin of plus gas.

but, I’ve got a fully dismantled rusty old Motolug trailer that just needs a bit more of a run down before painting it. When it’s going to look ace. The hubs and bearings can wait. The garden looks good too.

Ive gradually been building up my power tools over a number of years and over the last couple have moved across to Dewalt rather than have a mixture of makes. And moving to cordless where I can. Ive been really impressed with their quality.

Same here Dave, after persevering for too many years with different brands of cordless stuff, budget 240v stuff, and with some more upcoming projects, I recently thought buggerit and splashed out on quite a comprehensive set of 18v Dewalt tools - with hindsight, something I should have done several years ago!
Tools, stacking boxes, batteries & chargers etc. The price is rather eyewatering for a skint yorkshireman but hey ho, hopefully they don't get nicked & start paying for themselves...

I've a couple of mains hammer drills, but my "go to" tools these days are 10.8v DeWalt drill and impact driver - they cover most of my DIY stuff, and I've an old (but still sound) 18v Makita combi drill which covers the "heavy duty" stuff. How did we manage before the advent of cordless tools, I wonder!

I've got some "budget" 20V Worx stuff by now... Cheap & cheerful which is plenty good enough for around the house, and the price difference compared to "proper" stuff means I don't have to think nearly as much about buying yet another power tool. ;)

Being able to use just the one set of batteries for everything is grand though!
