Hi Folks, Tomorrow morning I'm heading west. I've started a thread on ADV which I will be trying to update regularly with tales of new disasters. If you want to follow along, the link is: 1972 Moto Guzzi across Canada (as long as I don't break down too much) Nick
Progress sounds good so far. You and the bike are in the groove. Keep it up. Nice memories for me too. we are just back from our Spain & Portugal trip.
Hope you had a good time. Some of these BC roads - yes, even the paved ones - are monumental. If you rode near Lillooet, you know what I mean. When they say 30kph corner, the actually mean it.
I just caught up with your ADVRider thread nick. Epic stuff. You’ll be home now. Well done to rider and the bike you keep. It’s brought back good memories for me. I’m sure I rode along at least some of the roads you’ve been on.
BC and Alberta have some epic roads in the mountains which I suspect you enjoyed, Austin. The couple I met on the Icefields Parkway (from NZ and UK) kept saying 'it's so big' (talking about the country - of course). They couldn't get over the distances - which are indeed mammoth.
Here's Part 1 of my trip video. Towards the end there's a bit of road I suspect you all would enjoy. Nick
