I've been offered a very very lightly used Arai Tour X 3 at a good price, how do you guys get on with them as I've read differing reviews on them regarding buffeting at certain speeds from the peak, how do you guys get on with that issue?

Started to ride myself with a tour x4 cant be that different. im 5 11in riding a 700 alp puig touring screen + palmer products bracket no issues. i like the protection the peak gives me in certain sunlight conditions.

I had a Tour X, and a Tour X 3. I'm 6'2" and at that time rode an AT (Edit - standard screen fitted). Buffeting wasn't too bad at speed, but lifesavers at motorway speeds were a bit tough on the neck muscles until you got used to them :)

Overall I didn't find the peak an issue, and on the flip side was damn useful in bright sunlight... when you could use it too fully block the sun it was far better than faffing with shades.

Yeah, that. Especially when the visor has a scratch or two. I commute SE in the morning and this is a very nice helmet for that and I'm considering getting another one. (Mine's 5 years old and a bit knackered & loose by now.)

I like it.
I've got a Tour X 1st edition, it can be a bit noisy at times, like the visor in sunlight very useful.
Will get another one when I come to replace it.
