Big Bird Escapes the garage

Took the dust sheets off of Big Bird at the beginning of the week and put her onto commuting duties. Today I put some miles under her wheels and visited Ullapool via the main road and back via some roads without white lines down the middle :D

Just a couple of photo’s, cos I was enjoying the ride too much to stop that often

Ullapool is a bit like a magnet for me. Get the bike out, get geared up and get going, only to find myself either flying over the Kessock Bridge or bend swinging round the Beauly Firth.

It also acts as a gateway to even better roads that lead to the north coast.

Worn out quite a few tyres riding round in big circles up there  ;)

Thought I'd add to this post, seeing as it's getting close to Big Birds bed time for the winter

Took a run down to Braemar on Sunday, seeing as the sea-weed feelers had promised some sunshine in the afternoon.

Took the ever scenic route down the northern bank of the Spey, where the first frost has started the leafs on thier one way trip to the ground . . .

My destination was slightly beyond Braemar - the Linn of Dee - and it's wonderfully water scoured gorge, lined with some majestic big pines . . . .

Luverly run out in ever improving weather, on the thrumming Strom - what more does a man need to help keep the smile on his mush?
