Serves you right, you should not try to hassle an old man on a cheapo 750 twin. :mockery22:

A fab weekend as usual guys (and girls), Baz Jenga was fun although I believe he wasn't the only one to drink to excess....
As usual mudwiz arrived at some ungodly hour - 3am.

Cheers all for making another great weekend, especially Andy for organising & leading a great rideout through some fabulous countryside.

Who said Andy's past it? Well done old boy and any others who may have been involved. Took the birthday boy (Bob) on a run to Lindisfarne and up and over some cracking roads. Thanks Stu and Debs for sorting cakes etc. Loved having a good go on the Wing...what fun that was...and Deanos auto AT shows where Honda are heading...very impressive. Fun ride home finished it off lovely.

What a great national and the best Birthday I've had for a long time. Many thanks to Andy for organising a great site :D

Thanks to my riding buddies, Tone, Stuart and Deano for a night in the lakes and then the ride to the site and Saturday's ride in glorious weather.

But most of all thanks to all of you for decorating my tent/bike, for the card and the cakes and for everybody having a great laugh :thumbsupanim:

PS. the last balloon fell off just after Hawick on the way home but it was a laugh looking at peoples faces as I passed them

Thanks Andy and all best you we was firs time and and we will come on the next meeting anywhere you go guys.

Nice to see you and meet your boy, he seems to really love the bikes, asking questions and telling us about his Varadero 125. A future attendee to many meets I'm sure.

Shame about the AA van, hope it didn't take too long to get home.

I am happy to report that this was not quite as eventful a trip as last year.

Home. :)

Nice one Michel, glad you got home safe. :)

Good to hear that people have arrived home safely, after what sounds like a very enjoyable weekend in a beautiful part of the country. A bit too far for me ( I was up near Lindisfarne, and ventured into Scotland briefly, during the summer), and I stopped camping about 40 years ago... too many rude awakenings with wet canvas around my ears :wales-emoticon-vlag: !
So vicarious pleasures only ... please keep the pictures and stories coming :ride-bumps:

Went surprisingly well. No aches and pains, everything pretty much works again.

The only major issue I ran into was a mental one (har har har), I had some real trouble overtaking cars on those twisty roads. Every little hidden dip and sort-of-blind corner had little red Fiat 500s in them, so I needed a really clear view to overtake anyone. Which you don't get all that often on proper 3D roads. Besides not really being able to keep up with the others anyway, which will be partly this and partly the K being a bit of an old bus. But after slowing down a bit it went better.

This was good fun. Good to be back, seeing everyone again.

Got a reminder today that I need to tax my bike, went online and it wouldn't tax because it's got no MOT. Good job I didn't get pulled over going tot he national! :D

There must be something about the weather and twisty roads up here as I only intended going to Kelso to pay the man for the campsite and ended up doing 140 miles. :( The Boss at Kelso was well pleased and said we would be welcome to return anytime, seems he had one complaint from the dog agility woman about some Londoner (her words) driving through the agility ring. Luckily, as I saw what went on I gave him the true story about the Hudders taking a slight short cut and he accepted my version. He did not seem concerned about it and said that the dog people can be a bit precious to which I replied, if she can not tell the difference between a Londoner and a Hobbit you can not take anything she says as true.

The only picture I took was on Saturday, lunch at Newcastleton.

P.S. If you click on the pic it gets to the size I saved, don't know why it does that. :rolleyes2:
