Christmas Thoughts

Just some thoughts as we enter the christmas season. It is important to remember that not everyone is looking forward to Christmas. Some people are not surrounded by large wonderful families. Some of us are having problems during Christmas and may be overcome with great sadness when we remember the loved ones who are not with us. For many it is their first Christmas without a particular loved one and many others lost loved ones at this time. And, many people have no one to spend these times with and are overcome with loneliness. We all need caring, loving thoughts right now. May I ask my friends wherever you might be, to give a moment of support to all those who are having family troubles, health struggles, job issues, worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune.

Merry Christmas everyone
Don't forget to have fun, not for yourselves but for all those who can't

I couldn't have put that better. Actually I couldn't have put it as well as that, let alone better, so well said that man.

Well you great soppy thing Stuart.

Very, very true but soppy nevertheless and a great reminder to us all.

I have several close friends who've lost nearest and dearest on Christmas day and around the festive period, just last year the whole Christmas period was turned upside down by a family member seriously ill.

Now get a grip man, chin up.

What a wonderful, well thought out and compassionate post, and from a truck driver no less. Well said Stuart, you are a star. :)

Very well put young man.
New year is an emotional time for me, thinking back to times gone by when I shared a dram or two after the bells with close family/ friends no longer with us.
Always brings a tear to my eye.

Well said, Stuart - yes, we may never know how much someone really appreciated that moment when a friend or neighbour stopped to wish them a happy Christmas, or sent that long awaited text, or picked up the phone and actually spoke, or popped in with mince pies and a warm word ..... even the smallest of gestures can bring a big ray of sunshine into a person's life when they are struggling emotionally. .... x
