Forgive me, Brethren, for I have sinned...

Yea verily I have taken unto myself tourers, from 700 cc even unto 1200 cc. I have dabbled with the Dark Side. But now I have seen the light!

Okay, the Death Star remains in the stable, but now there is also a 2015 VStrom 650. Everything is bog standard for now, though that is likely to change in the coming weeks. It's surprisingly good on motorways even with the standard screen. Heated grips are waiting to be fitted. Pannier racks are on order. Top box yet to be decided. Probably more aggressive tyres in due course*. Who knows what else?

I just can't do without an adventure bike!

*The Pirelli Scorpion is hopeless in mud. At least Pirelli provides a little scorpion logo to fill up with mud, just like the treads do:

nice!!!! All comments on this bike are extremely positive. ABR had it in the office for long term test and the results were brilliant!

Looks great Dave, if I didn't have such a penchant for the orange bikes I would definitely have one of those .

Just as a matter of interest where are you going to get it serviced?

The Suzuki has a 'lifetime warranty' provided I get it serviced where I bought it, i.e. CMC Newport. I'll give them a try next year.

Not sure about the BMW. The Service symbol has appeared, so I've been pondering. I may take it back to where I bought that, i.e. Stroud BMW (unofficial dealer). That way, if somwthsos major is wrong I can claim the repair off them. Hopefully nothing is wrong though.

In the longer term I may use Thunderroad. They used to have qualified BMW technicians, though I haven't checked lately, so not sure if that's still true. How was Swansea Motorrad? Thoughts?

Swansea we're ok, very pleasant, good to deal with and the bike was turned around in 90mins. Bonus it was £25 cheaper than the same service last year which was done in Riders. They appear to have good plans for the franchise in the future.
I used to have one of my bike's serviced in Stroud when they were official BMW dealers, really good firm to deal with.
