For those of you not on Facebook

I am very sad to tell you that our great friend Geoff Francis passed away this morning.
He eventually succumbed to the big C after a courageous battle fought with great dignity and humour.
We will remember him over a wee dram in Achiltibuie

Geoff was great and where he's gone he'll still be great. I just hope he didn't suffer too much on his final journey.

Here he is , 2007 when I first met him. A proper gent and a proper traveller............. (I always called him Francis, till he put me right !)..See you Geoff.

I feel like I missed out. I didn’t know Geoff really - met him once only very briefly at Ullapool I think and other than that only knew him because people talked about him but always in the best possible way. It’s obvious from what’s on here and on Facebook he is going to be sorely missed.

Always sad when someone passes away even a virtual friend

Can't recall if I met Geoff on my adventures with XRV or Big Traillie

RIP Geoff

Great picture from the 2007 Dent XRV National John, where a lot of people made new friends. Geoff was a great character. RIP

I still remember him moaning about getting his name the wrong way round on XRV lol To listen to him bemoan the story of registering on XRV was a pleasure.

R.I.P Francis Geoff.

Geoff beat myself and a couple of others on a 'who has the nicest arse' groping competition, with the groping and judging being done by Vanessa & Debs at a very boozy drunken night at the Plume of Feathers National
Good times indeed.

Ah, my first ever night out with XRV, being groped by strange women. What a welcome that was. :D
