Happy Friday, everybody.

Long list of bikes stretching back to the early 80s, on which I used to pack on the miles. Illness forced me off riding for the last couple of years but I picked up an XT600E this week - and feel whole again.

Got an XJ9S in the garage too, but that needs attention before it's back on the road. It's penultimate outing was across a load of green lanes in Northamptonshire - not the ideal machine for that kind of thing but it worked

Yep, always wanted one (or a DR650SE) back in the 90s as a second/third bike but never got around to owning one. This was advertised just at the right time as I'd got enough lying around spare and frustration had peaked with the XJ. Plus, any wife who encourages you to buy a bike has to be applauded

I was tempted to start tricking it out but reckon I'll just keep it stock. Maybe some pannier rails so I can lob over some soft panniers and go for a little hike around the Benelux.
