I need new gloves!

I have three pairs of gloves currently - airy mesh gloves (which get the most use of all) that are completely worn out, falling to bits, and I don't think offered much protection when new let alone now; some plain leather gloves and a pair of full on winter goretex & thinsulate gloves both of which are OK condition wise but I cant get the cuffs of either under my (new to me) jacket in bad weather and when worn cuff out the jacket sleeve pushes the gloves down so they aren't on my palm properly. All the gloves have had loads of wear, done tens of thousands of miles each and are between 6 and 10 years old so I feel like I have my money's worth.

So its time for a pair (or two) of new ones. I don't think I need to replace the full on winter ones as I can mostly pick and choose when I ride and the wind protectors and heated grips on the GSA are really good. But I do like to wear light and airy gloves whenever I can but when the temperature drops below about 10c I do find windproof gloves a lot warmer. So I am thinking two pairs. I am not to bothered about goretex or fully waterproof as long as the gloves are reasonably showerproof in light rain (my leather pair when treated with Renapur last about 30mins even in heavy rain) and I also find goretex liners make my hands sweaty so the liner sticks and turns inside out even on a dry day.

I am thinking about Klim Inversion Pro and Klim Mojave. Both have short cuffs so should be good with the jacket. The mojave are light and airy while the Inversions are windproof, showerproof and should be warm enough for me for year round use (perhaps with a liner). Neither has to much armour (not a high priority for me) so should also pack quite tightly.

What gloves have you got, would you recommend them and why.

Thank you

Not sure this will be much help, but the last gloves I bought were a pair of Alpinestars SMX-2 - for summer use. Got them last year and been very impressed. Mind you the sizing seems a bit odd as these are a size XL and I don't think that I have particularly large hands. My other gloves (Hein Gericke waterproof ones) are size medium - and there's no point recommending them, not because there not great, but because they're ancient.

Thanks Tony, I tried a pair of XL Alpinestars in J&S Preston that I quite liked but I couldnt even get my hand in. In Held gloves I need a 10.5 which is XL for just about everyone else.
