Interesting, but silly price

New Jawa trailie with the Yam 660 Tenere engine and built by Minarelli (owned by Yamaha) looks useful, but is £700 more than the G650GS. I doubt they'll sell that many because everyone over a certain age will remember the terrible, slow, badly built, unreliable, terrible (did I say that already?) 350 twin two-stroke stink wheels.

That's a lot of money. Can't help thinking, if I wanted a bike with an XT660R engine I'd get an XT660R. The Yam is even cheaper than the bare Jawa... What are they thinking, surely Czech nostalgia isn't that big a market?

I was riding/camping around the Wiltshire countryside with Dave Angel on his ( the only one in the UK ) Explorer a month back. His mission was to get some press photo's and footage sorted for the bike.

If I'm honest, In terms of styling and lines, finish and equipment. I was amazed by it to say the least. So much so that it's the only new bike ( Next to the never coming new AT) I would think about buying. It really takes you when seen in the flesh. Some bits are a bit OTT, like the twin discs up front but that's what I like OTT for no good reason !

17" fat ass rims (Jawas own) are lovely as are the triple headlights. My kind of posin' over common sense stuff !

Not to be confused with all the bikes I'd buy if I was truly loaded, this is the bike I'd buy if I had a little bit spare after that F*****g black hole of a new bathroom and kitchen. :sidecar:
