Hi Eric and welcome to the mad house.

Just had a look and found that this Llandovery meet is organised by the Aprilia forum and will be based at the Erwlon camp site in Llandovery (http://www.erwlon.co.uk/). So, now you know.

Some cracking roads around Llandovery - but unfortunately Mr Plod and his colleagues like the area too!

If you do get over to the west coast then give me a shout as I'm in Galway.

Nope.

I'm heading down via the North York Dales, Lake district, North Wales and then South Wales, heading for the Taffy Dakar off road rally which is located just north of Swansea on the Saturday 30th April. Leaving home the Sunday before to start my wander south :thumbsupanim: , looking to cover plenty of dirt routes on my way south :D

that's handy to know as im not familiar with area, cheers.
The A483 Builth Wells to Llandovery, A40 Brecon to Llaandovery both offer fine scenery and some tidy bends. The A4069 from Llangadog to Brynamman has it all (and is very popular with TV shows such as Top Gear). If you like more "Adventure bike"-type terrain, the road from Llandovery via Rhandirmwyn , around the Llyn Brianne reservoir to Tregaron (or the same road, but approached from Llanwrtyd, through Abergwesyn) offers plenty of hairpins, steep climbs and descents, and scenery.
....Just a few to whet your appetite ;)

Be aware the A4069 now has a 40mph speed limit along its entire length.

Ah yes! I'd forgotten that (haven't ridden it since the change). What's next? -making you get off and wheel the bike over the cattle grids?

Be very, very careful what you wish for. ;)

I always thought you had to lift your front wheel over cattle grids. Have not managed to lift the rear wheel yet tho. leek
