Moving house.

After a bit over thirteen years of renting this house we were given notice to quit back in July. We can't afford to buy in Galway or even rent as now we'd be paying half as much again, as we have been paying, for something remotely like what we have now - if we could find somewhere. The housing situation is utterly ridiculous - as you might have heard.

So, we're moving to County Donegal. Bit of a wrinkle is that Rachel will still be working at the Uni. But we have this covered.

The shed with the new property is just about big enough -

We'll still be on the Wild Atlantic Way and in a better position to advise of different route options to avoid the boring bit between Donegal Town and Sligo.

Yep, 'tis by the sea - about 15 to 20 minutes walk (or about a mile).

The shed had absolutely no bearing on the choice of property.............

Don't have any pictures of the inside yet. But don't worry, just as soon as we move in (later this month if all goes to plan) I'll take some pictures and consider my plans.

An update. Been up to the house today to drop off garden stuff. Still awaiting final completion - we'll get there eventually.

Anyway, for those interested here's a picture of the inside of a now empty shed -

Rachel was standing at the open roller shutter door and there are actually two windows in the left hand wall. That is a mezzanine floor and electric hoist mounted in the middle of that RSJ.
