National 2025 – Balloch O Dee Campsite, Newton Stewart, Dumfries & Galloway – 4-7th Sept 2025

They might hang up in disgust if they find out I don't put milk in it... :iconmrgreen:

I think the Tesco plan will work, given that they're 15 minutes from the ferry that seems the most convenient way to go as I've got a few other things I want to drag home.

I get big bags but worked out that it is no cheaper than buying the smaller boxes from Tesco. I also drink it strong and black.

Hahah good pic. :iconmrgreen:

Yeah plan A for now is get a bunch of boxes at Tesco and tip them into a couple big ziplocks. Should be fine, and indeed it might even be cheaper than the really big bag. 5x 210 is 1050, for under 30 quid.

So far nobody's ever been bothered about what I had strapped on the back of the bike. And it's tea. It's not the 1700s... :iconmrgreen:

Sad you'll not make it Chris - always fun when your in attendance :)

1 week indeed :respect13:

Not sure if I'll be riding or driving down - lets see if I can get a riding boot onto my foot between now and next Thursday . . . but be there I will

I’ll bite, what’s up with your foot? Did I miss something?

Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin . . .

Prevented the XR from falling on top of me a week ago, severly twisting my left ankle/foot (I heard a crack from it as I strained against the bike) as well as twisting my weakend right knee.

Dis-mounting the bike with the side stand not down, left foot on the floor and swinging right leg over and off of the bike.
Right foot catches side bag, causing bike to start leaning towards me, right leg still caught as the bike takes on an extreme lean angle towards me. This is when the cracking sound was heard from left foot, just as right leg is freed and I'm pushing like feck to stop the bike coming down on top of me.

Good news is there are no broken bones in the foot and the swelling in my right knee has subsided.
Left foot was an intereting shade of purple when the bruising came up, along with the swelling!
Left foot now almost the right size/shape but still cannot get a riding boot on, hence the mention of possibly having to driving down.
Mrs T not happy as she has had to walk the dogs 4 times a day since last Saturday

Enjoy your anniversary holiday - we may be going away the week after the meet for ours, foot/ankle condition depandant (piontless going on a walking holiday if you can't walk!)

Oof. Yeah, it's those little things that'll get you.

I once did a similar move on the Dominator with a dry bag across the back, on a big busy campsite with a Harley gathering next to us on the field. I felt it go over past a certain point and decided fuck it let it go.

Got a standing ovation out of it from the Harley guys, so took a bow and decided to unpack the bike while it was down there. :iconmrgreen:

Oof painful, and lucky could’ve been worse.

Newness of the bike tis all. Muscle memory will soon have you getting your leg over like a good ‘un, ooh-err.
