Weather and traffic combined with morons,my favourite assortment
Stück for an hour between Manchester and Birmingham and now the M1 is closed as well.
Lovely
At least it's warmer than Scotland :D

Thanks for pulling the weekend together John absolutely brilliant :)

I really appreciated Steve T and John's B&B with evening meal, a very enjoyable first and last night, cheers ....

I took, what should have been, the scenic route from Inverness to Fife (Lecht, Glenshee etc) basically rode in cloud for 2hrs but home safe and unpacked.

Raymo great to read it's only sore ribs.

Photographs and hopefully video to follow.

Got a call from bmw inverness. They wanted more info on the fault.
They thought the bare wire was caused by a mouse or something. Give me strength.
Explained i am an electronics engineer, and thats just the sort of thing i would notice when preping for a trip. Very tidy mouse that chews the same cable all thru the loom. Not.

The smell is the same as another gs they have in of the same year. Give me more strength.
Explained, that it was so strong i thought some one had a fire going in wick. And when i stopped at lights, it filled my helmet with the smell.
The other gs did not smell that strong he admited.

Can i get half a sticker?
Actually a quater would be more like it.

Just got in. 11 hours on the dot. 680 instead of 560 miles due to road closure, flooding, road works and got knows what else.
This was not a nice ride
But the rest was ace

Cheers John for the ride and hospitality and that goes t Carol? Carole? (which way does she spell it John) and Stephanie

My tyres took a beating too, 3mm off the front and 5 mm off the rear so now when I put the bike on the main stand there is a gap between the rear wheel and the ground instead of having the rear compress the tyre slightly as usual. New tyres need to be ordered

I will be back !

Great riding with everyone too, what a hoot

Got back 4.25, bike cleaned chain cleaned and lubed for next go, gear washed

First of all a big thank you to John for organising the weekend. It had the feel of loosely planned, lightly organised trip that went off really well which usually means a huge amount of planning and organising, certainly more than John admits to. Well done for all the effort. Secondly thanks to John, Carol and Stephanie for the B&B&B (Bed & Breakfast & Booze). Loveley family :D Finally thanks to everyone else for a weekend of great riding on great roads in great company. It was fab and I feel all flat now at home.

Pics to follow when Photobucket will let me upload my photos.

Forgot to say a huge thanks to John and Carol for the b & b. Very comfy. Great food too.
I found the weekend most challenging.
And thanks to all for turning up.
One day i will manage to get to stay at durness camp site, been trying for years.
Did pete get to see the stacks at dunnet head? I was hoping to show him but the bmw gods were against me.
