Evening all.. thought I'd join up for some chat as I'm in the hunt for a decent trail bike I can renovate over the winter.
I'm a road and track rider but fancy a nice wee trail bike to cut about on when it takes my fancy.
I've been riding forever and love my bikes,
My last project I rebuilt a poorly maintained ZX10R C1 last winter, spent a pretty penny on it, probably lost a grand or so on it, but ended up with three bikes in my already cramped garage and sold it to a good home.. Immediately buying something else..as you do !..
Anyhow ideally I'm after an XT250 I can bring back to life if anyone knows of a decent example I'd be forever in your debt and would welcome any pointers..was considering a 500 but the prices are preposterous, even for poor examples.. there's loads of imports kicking about, many of which have been restored with price tickets to match some at 12 grand plus !.. crazy..
Anyhow fellas cheers for any guidance you can offer and happy to reciprocate where I can..
