. . . . . . . so me & eldest took it upon ourselves to go inspect some local roads . . . . . . that led to Ullapool :D

Nearly 250 miles and no rain = result. And the dirt on the bikes is mainly from forest trails

Looking good Steve,

Sorry I couldn't hook up.
Both junior and intermediate siblings back off to their respective cities after a weekend of watching the snowman rally.
Yet another great event hosted by highland car club

Glad the rally actually went ahead, given the "goings on" in the borders.

I'll be through to Inversnekky next weekend as well John - hairy fartburns are hosting a new model release event . . . . . . . with free food & refreshments  ;)

Popped out again today, seeing as the weather was all Spring like, with temps reach over 15C. Grabbed a hair-pin piccy for the A-Z thingy after pestering Lowflyer as he got some laminate down in his dinning room . . . . . . .

This looked a nice place for a brew up, over looking a deep gorge that leads down into Loch Ness

Ace afternoons ride - 160 miles, taking in mostly out of the way roads with no traffic, in brilliant sunshine, whilst riding an ace machine.

Happy Days :clapping:

I'm only just beginning to realise how lucky all you Northerners are, having all that, almost on your doorsteps. I've had a miserable last few weeks and I'd have to do at least 75 miles to get away from it all. Just not worth it for a day.:(.......:oldman:........:ridebumps:

And yet again the weather gets all mixed up and we find it sunny all weekend. WTF

Put the Strom back on the road yesterday and burnt through the fuel that had been sitting in the tank all winter  :D

And today I paid Glen Lyon cafe a visit on the beast . . . . . and was accompanied by several like minded bods . . . .

And we had to come back via Glenshee - Oh how we suffered :D  . . . . . .

Johns famous cork screw road down to Loch Ness. Cased the skirt wearer down it on a MTB. Brilliant roads.

Ha ha J,

Remember that very well.
I was in front on the way down, on the pegs most of the way.
Slowed down and sat on the seat to show J a nice view of the Loch only to find the big ape right up my arse with a great big beaming smile on his face :respect:

Must do it again young man

Better craic going up the hill though
