Second attempt....... Head to Clitheroe as before and just find somewhere there. Its got Costa and other cafes so we should find somewhere open.

If anyone wants to join us and cant find the bikes (GSA1200, Vstrom and a very green Triumph speed triple) parked up in Clitheroe then we will drive past booths car park between 11am and 11.30.

A great day out and a big thanks to Austin for persevering to find a suitable coffee stop (that was open...) opposite the station in Clitheroe and leading the subsequent rideout.
Getting to Clitheroe wasn't as straightforward as hoped due to many roads being closed due to joggers, tge brunch venue was slightly pricey but the yummy food more than made up for it :)
After brunch, Austins son Alastair headed off as predicted so it was just Austin & I having a very pleasant bimble around the Bowland fells, ending the day with a brew & Bakewell in Chipping before heading our different ways.

Yup, great day even with 3 different attempts to get into Cliteroe all thwarted by the bloomin' fun runners, which meant it was near 11.30 before we had parked up and around 12.30 before we left. Sorry if we missed anyone - we did see an AT ride past the cafe but the rider didn't seem to be on the lookout for anything. Road closures nearly got me again as I neared home to see more road closed signs and fluo jackets in the road but they were just taking it all away after some sort of decorated Tractor run.

The weather mostly behaved itself - cold to start, a bit of fog lingering up the Ribble Valley, but mostly fine and dry and as the day got on it reached a giddy 7c. Good day Phil.
