Number plate helmet stickers to be introduced by DVLA

UK motorcyclists will need to display a front number plate from next month onwards, under new laws passed by the British Government last night. Motorcyclists will need to apply to the DVLA by 30 April and purchase an envelope-sized sticker (at a cost of £19.95) – which they will need to attach to the front of their helmets. The UK’s top traffic cop, Thames Valley Police Commissioner Anthony Stansfeld , said bikers have been getting away with speeding offences for far too long, claiming that 61 percent of bikers caught speeding by traffic control and speed cameras escaped a fine because of the lack of front number plates. Will you buy a sticker or run the risk of a £1,000 fine?

Oh is it that time of year again.

I feel sorry for the staff at Edinburgh Zoo. All those calls for Mr C Lyon will be coming in thick and fast by now.

You don't have to put it on your shoe, it's your helmet you have to stick it on. :D

Unless I read it in a reputable newspaper like, "the sun" ,I would be inclined to think this is an April fools wind up.
Ooops! did I call the sun a newspaper :fart-1:

You also use the words reputable and newspaper in the same sentence. Clearly an oxymoron if ever there was one

A bit like German sense of humour and Military Intelligence

You also have to submit your helmet with the bike when it goes in for an MOT.
