22 year old 750 V-Twin with a 72 year old 750 V-Twin! A mate of mine rides his Harley in I guess at least once a week and I'm sure it's had more adventures than mine in it's time! I've posted this pic a couple of places today, and I take no credit for the kudos - it's a privilege to park up next to this WLA :)

Ive tried a couple of new Harleys, a 1200 Sportster and a Cross Bones. My interest in the Cross Bones was based on its looks, it imitates the old WL in its looks. I didnt get on with either of them so that was it but I really would like one of those WL or WLAs.
That one really looks the part, I would love to find one one day when I had enought time to enjoy it.

I had an WLC back in 1982.
Almost made me stop loving bikes and convert to cars...
Oh dear, perhaps I should just continue to admire from afar :(

It could have been a case of "wrong owner"...

They were built for war duty and cheapest possible massproduction, and expected to stay in one piece less than a few hours so I guess there are better buildt bikes out there.
Rear cylinder in cast iron was running really hot, and it's dead slow.
At least spare parts could be find in plenty in Holland (In those days).

Mine were repainted dark red, and the springer were enlonged.
It retained handshift, foot coupling and ingnition adjustment in the left hand grip...

another from the same manufacturer 1959 XLCH replica, made from a XLH with some modern (then 1980's) parts. Sold it about 10 years ago.
