So I missed the meet at achiltibui due to picking the wrong dates. Hence the title of thread. From the posts, you guys gave geof an excellent send off, bless him.
But next weekend is the dates i thought i was going. Still got the friday off and its my bday on the friday and wife has to work so free for a day or two.
There a is a fully tooled gs in the shed, straining at the almax chain and a tool to ride it. (Sorry)
So far thinking about taking tent and going to Strathbeg to see if the geese have arrived yet. (I have heard lots the last couple of nights)
Then I thought i would check on here to see if anyone else is on the move next weekend (strathbeg is not manditory) :)

Dear Plonker,

My son is moving house today, and so far, not going to good :p
So I guess I'll be up at the new house sorting things out for most of weekend.

Have a great time

Ah, a trip to the Exotic (very furthest) Far East.

Plenty geese down here on the Forth and we had our first frost on Monday morning.
Enjoy Peterheid, nearly as nice as Achiltibuie.

Works better with Reid, Heid, Deid.
Cannae help with Volvo !

Ha ha, you have to get a person with the Doric to sort that one out :D
Cheers.

Me ? I'm a hairy assed Teuchter who doesn't know any better :p

For those that don't know the craic, here is the brilliant Robin Galloway

The funniest one I ever heard was him telephoning ",the householder" telling them he had their delivery of fush.
"Aye, that's right Three Ton o fush -- whaur wid ye like it dropped"
Hilarious.

I was given instructions on how to cook Geese many moons ago --- long intro about garlic and bacon ,--- put it in the oven at 180C.
Immediately put an old leather boot in the oven.
Cook for Four hours;
Discard the goose and eat the old boot.

Its going to be a cold winter I reckon - Geese flying around here already. Its normally well into October before they start passing over our house.
