I just got home after a weekend away to see this post on XRV. http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/chatter/117626-rip-frad-rob-fradley.html

Sad news, RIP Rob.

Andy.

**** Admin update - please read below from Phil re. Rob's funeral arrangements ****

As posted on xrv;

The funeral of Rob Fradley is to be held at All Saints Church, Daresbury, Cheshire on Tues 9th Sept at 1.15

It was Robs wish to be escorted on his final journey by as many motorcycle mounted friends as possible.

(As this falls just after the XRV/BT National, I hope that some of you from further away can extend your stay as the National is only about 1 1/2hr away (guess).
I am about 35 mins North of Daresbury, just off the M6 & will happily accomodate any of the regulars on XRV/BigTrailie.)

Update;

If we could meet up between 12.15 - 12.30 at CW8 2FE, St Catherines Drive, Hartford, Cheshire, please go to the end of the cul-de-sac and group neatly with thought for the residents. Vanessa and I will be there in good time.
If you wish to meet others to arrive in a group, please arrange this independantly.

The funeral cortege will leave this address at 12.45 prompt for the (aprox) 1/2hr drive/ride to All Saints Church, Daresbury.
There will be a lead car then the bikes, followed by Rob with the family cars following behind.
After the church service the cortege shall continue the short distance to the crematorium, the wake is at a local pub which is opposite the church.

Here are a few more details

On entrance to the church grounds, we will park behind the lead car at the side of the road but please could the back rider please ensure they don't park before the gate entrance to the church as this are is required for the hearse
The first 5 pews on the far RHS in the church have been reserved for us.

The order of the cortege will be the same heading from the church to the crematorium

I didn't know Frad and I haven't met him. But even so, it's very sad that a fellow member has succumbed to illness. I would like to wish all of Frads family and friends my sincere condolences at this sad time. RIP Frad...

Frad was one of the good guys, always up for a laugh even in the face of tough times, whose life was cut short by this dreadful illness.

Catherine, Robs wife deserves a special mention and has been an absolute rock, endlessly caring for her loved one in the toughest times imaginable.

Rest easy bud x

Frad was an inspiration. He never complained or moaned and he was always smiling or laughing despite the fact he must have been suffering. He will be greatly missed by everybody who met him.

Condolences to Catherine and family.

Never met him, but I've heard DC speak very highly of him. Horrible disease that ruins lives. My thoughts with his friends and family.

Sorry to hear this sad news.

My world was made a better place by his generosity caring and friendship one wet weekend.

A sad loss indeed.

I've posted on XRV, not going to cut and paste, I'm welling up.

I'm sure those living next to Catherine will pass on our condolences on this sad day. I trust someone will keep in touch wrt arrangements etc.

I would like to send some flowers down if that is ok with the family

Rest in peace Rob

A gent. My screensaver is the pic Frad took of me coming back to the mainland on that first Piel Island trip. Frad was just back from another op and too weak to ride, so came by car.

He drove out ahead of us on the return and took superb quality photos of each and every rider crossing the bay.

I'm finding it hard to turn on my computer.

Sad news indeed.

My last memory of Frad is him having some sort of knife fight in Pembroke with Hudders and him losing his t-shirt. It makes me smile and I reckon that's what the big fella would want.

R.I.P buddy.

Already posted elsewhere and do not have much else to add to what has already been written. Only met Frad twice, I think, but I definitely got the impression that he was larger than life.

Rest In Peace.
